Line up announced for 2010 Festival!
The Radlett Festival this year will take place on the weekend of 12/13th June. This year there will be a Saturday concert as well as the traditional village fair on the Sunday afternoon.
On the Saturday evening the concert will be held on the Phillimore Recreation Ground. There will be an open air picnic concert for you to bring your own food, tables and chairs and lots of friends, and the concert will include a brass band, singing and jazz and some patriotic light flag waving! There will also be a licensed bar in attendance, in case you need extra liquid refreshment. Mr Ian Sutherland will be our compēre for the evening, so you should prepare yourselves for a Cacophony of Captivating Camaraderie (for those of you who remember the Old Time Music Halls). A Good Time will be had by all!
On the Sunday afternoon, the Fair will also take place at the Phillimore Recreation Ground. We have a full programme for you to include the MAD Bike Display team - who are Europe’s largest and best known mountain bike stunt display team. Founded over a decade ago by Giles Wolfe, the team’s highly skilled riders can be found performing their breathtaking routines at events across Europe. We also have a Tom Jones tribute artist to entertain us, as well as the usual mix of stalls, dog show, climbing palm tree, licensed bar and a wide range of food stalls. The raffle has a tremendous range of prizes including a terrific holiday and many more great prizes.
Put these dates in your diaries now and make sure you keep the weekend free for the best Radlett entertainment weekend in the Year.

Radlett Festival Village Fayre 2009 - A Miracle!
It seemed like our worst possible nightmare - after months of planning and preparation we were woken by thunderstorms and torrential rain on the morning of Sunday 7 June. The day of the annual Radlett Festival Village Fayre!
But, around 10 am a blue patch of sky appeared and the weather changed dramatically. It was dry. It was warm. It was even sunny for part of the day. And it lasted until after 6 pm by which time it was all over and everyone had packed up and gone. A miracle as many people commented!

Once again the Scarecrow competition was a highlight of the Fayre, along with the appearance of Elvis Shmelvis as an opening and closing act.
But the undoubted biggest hit of the day was the Jive Ponies who held the large crowd spellbound as they performed acrobatics on their ponies.

Our thanks to everyone who braved the early bad weather to help set up the stalls and all the people who turned out to the Fayre in the afternoon making it once again a huge success!
