Picnic in the Park – A Magical Musical Evening with a Hint of Old Time Music Hall!
Gates open at 5.30 pm to allow you to get your picnics underway, with the musical programme commencing at 6.30pm. We anticipate that the concert will close around 9.30pm before it gets too dark to pack up your picnic. Our performers include our local award-winning ladies barbershop quartet NoteOrious, the ever popular St Albans Brass Band, the Com.unity Choir, a young people’s choir from our new Twin Town Dunaharaszti in Hungary and Dhol Drums from Park High School in Stanmore.
Our compére for the evening will be Ian Sutherland, and Stage Manager Philip Eastburn, both of Radlett Players. There will be a licensed bar (also providing hot coffee!) on the field as well as a barbecue from DP Clarke, the butcher.
We have been given some amazing raffle prizes, specifically for this concert evening, including a Gourmet lunch for 4 people aboard a Crystal Cruises Luxury Ship with first class rail travel , plus a £1000 voucher for use on a future booking with Crystal Cruises, courtesy of Crystal Cruises and Beaver Travel. So please buy raffle tickets at the event as 50% of the proceeds of the evening will be donated to the Peace Hospice and the rest to the Festival Funds.
